Ancient Ireland Tourism Terms and Conditions

Terms and Conditions

The tours offered by ancient Ireland tourism are designed for the active adult. The nature of overnight tours requires moderate walking each day, as well is adherence to a schedule.  Children eight and older may join a tour when accompanied by their parent or guardian.  Families with younger children are welcome by booking a private tour or charter.

Unless otherwise specified, the tours are operated by Ancient Ireland Tourism, Ltd. of Mullingar, Ireland. All transportation, sightseeing excursions, attractions, restaurants, hotel accommodations or other travel services are furnished by them only as agent for the contractors providing the services. Ancient Ireland tourism shall not be held liable for loss of or damage to property, or injury to person, resulting from the performance of those contractors, their employees or servants. By utilizing the services of the suppliers, you agree that your remedy is directly with the suppliers and not with Ancient Ireland tourism.

Any likeness of you secured or taken on any of our trips may be used by Ancient Ireland Tourism, Ltd. without charge in all media, for promotional or marketing purposes, including without limitation promotional materials of any kind, such as brochures or the Internet

These tour programs are planned in advance. If, between planning time and the actual tour operation, circumstances beyond our control require changes, we reserve the right to vary itineraries and/or substitute components of our tour programs. In some cases, it may become necessary during a tour to adjust the itinerary due to local weather, or other circumstances.

Ancient Ireland Tourism reserves the right at any time to dismiss anyone from the tour whose conduct has become injurious to the welfare and pleasure of other tour participants. The dismissed person must make their own arrangements for return home at their expense. No tour refund will be made.

If you choose to leave a vehicle at any departure point, you do so at your own risk. Neither Ancient Ireland Tourism nor the owner of any parking lot will be responsible for any loss or damage to your vehicle.

Full and final payment for reservation on a tour, and/or your participation in any part of a tour, constitutes consent to all provisions of these terms and conditions.

BAGGAGE: Each passenger is allowed one suitcase (on overnight trips) and a small carry-on bag.

CANCELLATION POLICY FOR MULTI-DAY TOURS: All bookings require a deposit of 20% of the tour price at the time of booking. Payment in full is required within 45 days of tour departure. The 20% deposit is non-refundable.

You may cancel with a refund, less your deposit, up to 45 days prior to departure.

Cancellations made between 31 and 45 days from departure will be refunded at 50% of the tour price, less the non-refundable deposit.

There are no refunds for cancellations made within 30 days of tour departure.

You may request a space available transfer to a different tour offered within two calendar years. Depending on the time to scheduled departure, you may be responsible for cancellation fees incurred by suppliers for any lodgings, services, or activities booked as part of your original tour. Please contact our office and we will work to accommodate your request and advise you of any cancellation fees before confirming the transfer and rescheduling your trip.

CANCELLATION POLICY FOR DAY TOURS:  All bookings for day tours must be paid in full at time of booking no later than 24 hours prior to departure.  Day tour bookings are non-refundable once booked.

Ancient Ireland Tourism declines all liability for refunds due to late arrivals, early departures, personal emergencies or illness, flight delays and/or cancellations or weather. We highly recommend that each guest purchase travel insurance to cover these contingencies.  Our office can assist with purchasing travel insurance.

Ancient Ireland Tourism reserves the right to cancel a tour where bookings have not met the minimum number of participants needed to operate the tour.  In the unlikely event that Ancient Ireland Tourism must cancel a tour, all customers will be notified not later than 25 days prior to scheduled departure and given the option of rescheduling on an alternate tour or a complete refund of all monies paid.  If booking flights sooner than 25 days prior to departure, we recommend purchasing travel insurance.

Where Ancient Ireland Tourism organizes the tour but contracts for the operation of the tour with another tour company, cancellation charges will be aligned with that other company’s policies. In those cases, you will be notified of the cancellation charges and will offer the opportunity to purchase travel insurance protection.

There are no exceptions to these policies.
